PASO Director to Speak
Panhandle Aids Support Organization (PASO)Director, Michael Timcisco, will be in Spearman on Thursday, May 14, at 7 PM at the Church of Christ Fellowship Hall. AUSTIN - Senator Robert Duncan, R-Lubbock, and Senator Kel Seliger, R-Amarillo, will be in Childress on Friday, May 16, for a town hall meeting to discuss landowner rights and eminent domain.
The lawmakers are aware many of their constituents are concerned about a recent letter regarding a water proposal expected to impact area properties.
The proposed water and transmission lines would cross through several counties in Senate districts 28 and 31. Originating in Roberts County, the main line would be drawn through the northeast corner of Gray County, and then cut through Wheeler, Collingsworth, Childress, Hardeman, and Wilbarger counties.
Property owners and the general public are encouraged to attend this meeting.

SHS Project Graduation
| The parents of the Spearman High School Senior Class of 2008 will sponsor and host a “Project Graduation Party” following commencement exercises Friday May 23rd. To encourage the graduates to stay the entire night, door prizes are awarded throughout the evening. In addition, graduates can earn paper monies through their participation in various games so that prizes can be purchased. The graduation party will culminate with the distribution of grand prizes.
